Another brief check-in to remind you that the BackerKit survey will be LOCKING DOWN in just a couple of days, on the morning of this coming Thursday! As detailed in our last update, most surveys have been fully completed, but there are just a bit under 900 remaining outstanding. Orders submitted past the lockdown are likely to be delayed significantly, so please fill it out now to avoid delays or errors with your order.

Less Than ONE WEEK Left in BackerKit!

Numbers & Production

We're already getting numbers together and sharing them with our partners to plan production and place initial orders. We'll dive into these more in the future, but here's some quick, fun bits of what we're seeing so far:

Just take a minute and let that last one sink in... I know we still are. But wait... there's more.

How much is that amount of dice going to weigh, you might be wondering? Well, a rough estimate comes to over 4,500 pounds, or more than two metric tons of dice. That's about as much weight as you'd expect of an average African Forest Elephant or Black Rhinoceros, or a particularly heavy - perhaps a hungry, hungry - Hippopotamus.

BackerKit Surveys SENT!

As the subject line indicates, ALL BackerKit surveys have been sent at this time. They may take a little bit of time to all get out there, so please be patient. However, if you haven't received your survey to your Kickstarter email address by tomorrow, feel free to reach out and we can investigate. Thanks for your patience during this process!

Wood Dice Tiers

As we've detailed in the Kickstarter updates, wood dice being added to the campaign was a big challenge. The main issue was that production capacity on wood dice is much more limited than that of other materials, meaning we couldn't simply offer them to everyone that pledged.

Or, at least, we couldn't do that without losing our ability to meet our shipping deadlines, which is something we take very seriously - Wyrmwood guarantees shipment by the end of the month named in your reward tier, as long as your survey and order was completely filled out by the lockdown date. If we can't meet that, a $25 Gyft Certificate to WyrmwoodGaming.com will be included with your order.

So it's vital that we maintain our tier limits so we can deliver on time. As a result, we needed to add new, highly limited rewards for backers that wished to pledge for wooden dice. Some backers missed the addition of these tiers, since they happened pretty fast in the campaign - far faster than we had anticipated, and the rollout was unfortunately a bit rushed, for which we apologize.

If you're one of the backers that missed out, you still have options! You can place a BackerKit pre-order for wooden dice by clicking here. This will be a second order, and it will ship later than your existing pledge, but wood dice are available there and there are no limits, because of the lead time we have to work it out. Given the confusion, we'll be offering a $5 credit to those of you placing a pre-order for wooden dice this way (effectively meaning these orders will ship for free within the US). If you'd like to take advantage of this offer, place your pre-order here and then send us a direct message via Kickstarter, and we'll be happy to make the adjustment. In addition, if you are diverting funds you pledged to Kickstarter to this order, let us know and we will adjust the credit on your orders accordingly.

BackerKit Surveys are on the Way!

As detailed in our last update, BackerKit surveys are going out now! Before you rush off to complete it, we've got a few notes to give you. First, the email you're looking for will be sent to the address you used to back the campaign. Second, the email you're looking for should be from Wyrmwood, and contain the subject line: Response Needed -- Get your reward for Dice by Wyrmwood. If you don't see it yet, don't panic. The emails will be sent out in two batches to avoid overwhelming the BackerKit system. We'll post a quick follow up once all the invitations have gone out, which should be tomorrow morning. Until then, please don't reach out to ask where your survey is - it's most likely on its way. :)

Hello everyone!

We're closing in on the survey release next week, and we're pleased to announce that it's effectively done! We're including a primer on it below, as well as the final Dice Spotlight.

One quick disclaimer before we get into the update... we've heard of a couple backers that placed pre-orders, believing they were filling out the survey we've been discussing in these updates. To be clear, if you are a backer, do NOT place a pre-order. Pre-orders are only for those that missed their chance to back the campaign. As a backer, you will be able to easily add those items to your order in BackerKit, which you can access exclusively through the direct email link you'll receive. If you have placed a pre-order in error, please let us know so we can cancel it for you.

BackerKit Walkthrough

Before we send out all of the survey invitations, we wanted to release this video to give you all a quick rundown on how the process will work, so you'll be prepared when that email arrives on Thursday, May 28th.

Font Comparison

A backer noticed that the font engraving was slightly different across materials, and requested a comparison. We whipped up a graphic with some d20 closeups to demonstrate!

CROWN CRYSTAL

Extremely high grade, clear crystal. With all the other sets of dice we offer, the beauty is chiefly in what you see. In this set, the beauty is in what you don't see. Transparent and pure, this set makes a striking impression with its simplicity, and is a great choice for those times when less is more. Inked in your choice of black or purple.

CANDY GLASS (DAHLIA & PRIMROSE)

Candy glass dice are made from Millefiori glass. This technique dates back to ancient Egypt, but was revived by Italian artisans. The process involves bundling together glass rods which have been arranged to present colorful floral patterns. Each set of these truly unique dice is a piece of craftsmanship you'll treasure for a lifetime. Dahlia is our predominantly black set, while Primrose features lush greens.

CHERRY

Cherry is one of the few woods that one may wish to leave in the sunshine to darken, perhaps on a windowsill for a few days. It will shift from a pale, pinkish red to a deep, warm, reddish brown. This color change is initially rapid, visible day to day, but slows gradually. Like most fruit woods, cherry works easily, and can feature vivid grain. A classic, tasteful American wood for furniture and paneling.

PAULIE-HEDRALS

Paulie, who Wyrmwood fans will know from our Twitch stream, designed his set focusing on his roots as a gamer, bringing just a bit of digital feel to analog gaming. The set is crafted from Citrine, with pixelated font and logo to take you back to the days of retro gaming. Appropriately enough, the "20" face is replaced by a "GG" since, chances are if you're seeing it, it's "Good Game" for your enemy!
