Latest Updates from Our Project:

End of May Fulfillment Update
almost 3 years ago – Fri, Jun 04, 2021 at 09:58:54 AM

Hello, all!

Coming off of a holiday weekend, let's see our latest numbers:

Fulfillment by the Numbers

Total project fulfillment stands at 90.7%

9,956 orders fulfilled of 10,982 total, not including pre-orders

To dive deeper into the individual tiers:

November tier (2190 backers): 2190 fulfilled - 100%

December tier (3227 backers): 3225 fulfilled - 99.9%

January tier (3543 backers): 3523 fulfilled - 99.4%

February tier (483 backers): 471 fulfilled - 97.5%

March and beyond (1539 backers): 547 fulfilled - 35.5%

And here again is the graph showing the ratio of on-time/late orders, broken out by tier:

Fulfillment News

The big change here was the arrival of the March wood dice order, which allowed us to ship out the majority of the March orders. A handful of older orders were also able to be fulfilled, and our new method of pulling available stock for backorders and shipping later orders where possible allowed us to ship more than 50 orders from beyond the March wave, as well. All told, about 550 orders have been shipped since our last update.

Thank you for your continued support. We'll keep shipping as much as possible as stock arrives, and keep you posted on our progress right here.

Mid-May Fulfillment Update
almost 3 years ago – Sun, May 16, 2021 at 12:17:55 PM

Hello, all!

As we did last time, we're going to open with updated numbers on the fulfillment status, before we get into news and developments. Let's start there:

Fulfillment by the Numbers

Total project fulfillment stands at 85.7%

9,417 orders fulfilled of 10,982 total, not including pre-orders

To dive deeper into the individual tiers:

November tier (2190 backers): 2189 fulfilled - 99.9%

December tier (3227 backers): 3225 fulfilled - 99.9%

January tier (3543 backers): 3523 fulfilled - 99.4%

February tier (483 backers): 469 fulfilled - 97.1%

March and beyond (1539 backers): 38 fulfilled - 2.5%

And here again is the graph showing the ratio of on-time/late orders, broken out by tier:

Blue means the order was shipped on time. Red was shipped late. Yellow - "pending" - means the orders have not shipped, and are not yet late.

Fulfillment News

While a few older orders have made it out, the biggest change, by far, was in February, the vast majority of which has been shipped. The stock necessary to fulfill the March tier is set to ship and arrive in the next few days, and so those orders will begin shipping very soon.

That's all well and good, but we've still got all the April, May and pre-orders to contend with. As such, we're restructuring elements of our fulfillment to make this go faster in a few key ways:

1) Throughout the project, we have been placing orders by the wave. We are in the process of placing orders with all our vendors for the entirety of outstanding inventory needed to fulfill the project.

2) In the meantime, we have been moving forward with pulling and setting aside all inventory needed for orders through the February wave. With that done, we are beginning to ship later orders with the remaining items we have in stock.

To expand a bit, our goal with this project was to keep fulfillment organized and under control, and also to ensure that our vendors gave us the right items, in the right order. So we placed orders based on what we needed for every month of fulfillment, rather than placing the entire campaign order up front.

This is strictly worse from a production and cost perspective - smaller quantities and shipments are generally always going to cost more. On the other hand, they are much easier to manage and keep track of, which helped our shipping and fulfillment team. In addition, and most importantly, it was designed to ensure that we got the items we needed in the order we needed them.

But, here we are in May, still fulfilling February and March orders, so clearly, that didn't quite work out. A lot of this was from delays that hit our suppliers due to supply chain issues, and other impacts of the pandemic. Another issue is that in some cases, our vendors overproduced or underproduced certain items. That is why there are still a small number of early wave orders outstanding - we are missing items needed to fulfill those orders. So, we're moving to order everything we need, regardless of tier or wave, and get it ALL in, so we can fulfill every outstanding order as soon as possible. While this seems like it would take much longer, this shouldn't be the case, since ideally production can be organized more efficiently with larger volume.

This also frees us up to stop fulfilling based solely on month, and fulfill every possible order, as soon as possible. At this stage, while we wait to receive the remaining stock, we are going to move ahead and ship orders from March, April, May, possibly even pre-orders, as long as we have the stock to do so without jeopardizing earlier orders.

We've been working this past week to go through all outstanding orders that we cannot ship from February and earlier, and pull any stock we have on the shelf for those orders. We then set these incomplete orders aside, until the items we need to completely fulfill them arrive. Now, once we've pulled everything we can, we have moved on to repeat the process with March orders: shipping all orders from March we can, then partially pulling all stock needed for March, setting aside the incomplete orders. We will then move to April, and so on, all the way through to pre-orders, as long as we have inventory not needed for earlier orders.

The most important note here is that no order from a later wave will be filled at the expense of a backer from an earlier wave. We know that while we're missing some items needed, we have all we need for the whole campaign of a few items. So if a backer only ordered that item, we should definitely fill those orders. We've done this in some isolated cases, but are taking a much more organized and focused approach to do it across the board now, and have taken the time to build the necessary infrastructure to allow us to do so.

We aren't completely sure how many orders this will allow us to ship out, but you should see the impact of this change in the next update as the "March and beyond" fulfillment percentage goes up.

Thank you for your continued support, and I'll be back to check in on the 15th with another update on where things stand, as well as where they're headed.

Fulfillment Update, End of April
about 3 years ago – Sat, May 01, 2021 at 12:47:51 AM

Hello everyone!

In keeping with the prior update format, we will be including updated numbers in each fulfillment update for this project moving forward. Bear in mind, the last time these numbers were captured was only a few days ago, so they haven't moved a great deal. But the numbers below have been updated, and I'm including a graph of our ongoing track record.

Fulfillment by the Numbers

Total project fulfillment stands at 84.1%

9,232 orders fulfilled of 10,982 total, not including pre-orders

To dive deeper into the individual tiers:

November tier (2190 backers): 2187 fulfilled - 99.9%

December tier (3227 backers): 3224 fulfilled - 99.9%

January tier (3543 backers): 3521 fulfilled - 99.4%

February tier (483 backers): 283 fulfilled - 58.6%

March and beyond (1539 backers): 8 fulfilled - 0%

There is not a great deal more to add right now than was in the prior update. In terms of how the fulfillment has gone, what's on time vs what's not, you can take a look at the data in graph form below. This is different from the data above. While the above numbers simply represent what's fulfilled, this graph shows how much of each tier is late.

Blue means the order was shipped on time. Red was shipped late. Yellow - "pending" - means the orders have not shipped, and are not yet late.

As you can see, definitely a lot more red than we'd like. I'm doing what I can to bend it in the right direction, and will keep you all informed moving forward on how that effort is progressing. Unfortunately, given that we are dealing with supplier delays, there's only so much direct control we have, or can exert, but my aim is to at least get a definitive timeline for the remainder of fulfillment, and share all of that in the next update.

Gyft Certificates

In the last update, we mentioned the Gyft Certificates being sent out to February and March backers. April backers are also due to get the same offer, and those are on their way out presently. Email notifications have been dispatched, so be on the lookout for it. Again, these codes are valid for use on WyrmwoodGaming.com on any order. In addition, they can be applied to any active Kickstarter campaign or open pre-orders (presently, Corrupted Collection II: Moon Rising, or Dice by Wyrmwood & Dispel). If you'd like to apply the code to one of these, get in touch with us to let us know.

[Please note that if opting to use it towards Dice by Dispel & Wyrmwood, you will only be able to apply the Certificate in BackerKit AFTER the campaign, so you should pledge a smaller total, with that in mind. As always, we're here to help if you have any questions.]

In terms of the last batch of codes distributed, several of you reported not receiving or being able to find the email notification about the certificate; definitely reach out if you have not gotten anything, and we can look into the issue for you. According to BackerKit, direct emails were all sent out, so we'll troubleshoot and see what went wrong on an individual basis.

Thank you for your support, and I'll be back to check in on the 15th with another update on where things stand, as well as where they're headed.

Mini-Update & New Project Alert: Dice by Wyrmwood & Dispel - Launching NOW!
about 3 years ago – Tue, Apr 27, 2021 at 11:59:37 PM

Hello, everyone!

As discussed in our last update, we are launching our latest campaign today, and it is a follow-up to this very project. It is set to go live in just a few minutes, so if you want to grab the details and check out the page, scroll to the bottom of this update for the link.

But first, we wanted to give a "state of the fulfillment" ahead of our regularly scheduled update, coming later this week, to let you all know where this project stands.

It's no secret we've faced some serious headwinds with the fulfillment of this project. Most of these have come from delays that our suppliers encountered, since the bulk of production for this project was done by external products. We are continuing to work through these issues, and will continue, until each and every pledge is fulfilled on this campaign.

Fulfillment on the new campaign, of course, will not take place until late this year, after all Dice by Wyrmwood pledges have been fulfilled. We are in no way forgetting about, or moving on, from this project's fulfillment, and our production and fulfillment staff are working every day to see this project through to completion.

However, in the meantime, we do have development and design teams, and their job is to chart the course ahead, to where Wyrmwood is headed next. And that next frontier is this collaboration with Dispel Dice.

Fulfillment by the Numbers

Total project fulfillment stands at 83.8%

9,201 orders fulfilled of 10,982 total, not including pre-orders

To dive deeper into the individual tiers:

November tier (2190 backers): 2187 fulfilled - 99.9%

December tier (3227 backers): 3224 fulfilled - 99.9%

January tier (3543 backers): 3519 fulfilled - 99.3%

February tier (483 backers): 264 fulfilled - 54.7%

March and beyond (1539 backers): 7 fulfilled - 0%

At this point, we are working to get our suppliers to provide the rest of remaining product needed as soon as possible, and we will continue until all orders are fulfilled. We've learned some hard lessons from this fulfillment, and while many of the issues are due to the unique situation 2020 presented to the global supply chain, some are not, and we've applied those to our plans for this new project. We've got new suppliers, both of which we have tested and found more than capable, and who are more than up to the task of fulfilling the numbers we've opened up for the Dice by Wyrmwood & Dispel project.

Lastly, as a thank you for your patience and support while we work through these issues, we've issued digital $25 Gyft certificates to all February and March tier backers, in lieu of physical certificates with your orders, in accordance with our policy of giving $25 in credit to WyrmwoodGaming.com to any backer that we ship out later than our estimates. This can be used on any order on our website, applied to any other active Kickstarter campaign (by request: just message us), or saved for a later day. If you're in the February or March wave with a locked & charged order, you should have already received an email with the code earlier today. We meant to get these out to you earlier, but unfortunately were prevented by website issues that have since been resolved, thankfully.

As always, reach out with any questions you may have about your order, and we'll do everything possible to help. We'll follow up with another update later this week. And now, let's talk about this new project a bit more.

Mid-April Fulfillment Update
about 3 years ago – Sat, Apr 17, 2021 at 07:42:42 AM

Hello, everyone!

It's time for another check in. Let's see how fulfillment is progressing.

Fulfillment Progress

The big news: our wood dice shipment for the February wave has arrived, been counted into inventory, and is beginning to ship now. This will go a long way towards catching up - the March order is in progress now, and we'll of course begin fulfilling as soon as it arrives. We'll keep you up to date on that, as well.

Partial Shipments

In the last update, we discussed the option of partial shipments. For now, we have opted against it. The reason being that we have received the February order, which clears us on shipping those full orders. We will consider it for March, though, once we've gotten through February and have a solid idea of when the March wood supply will arrive. That order should arrive in a matter of weeks, rather than months, so we are hopeful we can smoothly roll into shipping March orders complete, as well. If that changes, of course, we will let you know.

Dice 2.0

As many of you are aware, we are planning to launch a follow-up to this campaign. We were hoping to be 100% fulfilled by the time we did, and unfortunately that is not going to be the case. That said, we're working hard to fulfill this project as quickly as we can, and we don't want to give the impression we're closing the book on Dice 1.0 and moving on. Fulfillment for the second Dice campaign will not even begin until close to the end of 2021, months after we've fully shipped all pledges and pre-orders from Dice 1.0.  We're going to apply the lessons we've learned in this campaign to that one, certainly. It's always difficult working with external suppliers, in that we have little control over their schedule and output - but we can build in some more safeguards, and we're confident that we have done so this time around.

We wouldn't be moving forward with the new campaign, and the partnership with Dispel Dice, if it wasn't for your enthusiastic support of this one. You made it possible, and fulfillment of this project remains front and center for us. We thank you for your patience and support of this project, which launched and fulfilled during the global pandemic, exactly one year and one day ago. It's been a long, tough year for all of us, but we couldn't ask for a better group of backers. We won't rest until we've shipped each and every order to all of you, and we thank you for your support as we get closer to that finish line every day.
